Accessibility statement
We want everyone — including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or larger text — to be able to use this site. Accessibility is treated as a core requirement, not an afterthought.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the internationally recognised benchmark also reflected in India's guidelines for government websites and the United States' Section 508 standard.
What we do
We build the site so that it can be operated by keyboard, works with screen readers through clear structure and labels, keeps text and background colours at a readable contrast, lets text resize without breaking the layout, and respects your system setting to reduce motion.
- A skip link to jump straight to the main content.
- Meaningful headings, landmarks and link text.
- Visible focus outlines for keyboard users.
- Labelled forms and controls.
- Reduced-motion support.
Known limitations
Some maps and documents that come from external government sources may not yet be fully accessible. Where that affects you, the same information is available as text or by phone — and we will help you get it.
Tell us about a barrier
