A remote reservoir on the edge of Mukurthi, ringed by high-altitude shola — one of the last refuges of the Nilgiri tahr.
Entry is by Forest Department vehicle only, with a daily visitor cap; book ahead in season.
The grasslands above the reservoir are core Nilgiri tahr habitat and a birding hotspot for high-altitude endemics.
Photography of the dam and certain installations is restricted — follow the guide's instructions.
