A boating lake and a stepped waterfall on the sacred Pykara river, set among some of the finest shola-grassland on the Ooty–Gudalur road.

The Pykara river is held sacred by the Toda; the falls run in two main drops a short walk from the road.

A government boathouse runs trips on the reservoir; the surrounding meadows are a classic film-shoot backdrop.

Combine with Wenlock Downs and the 6th Mile shooting point on the way back to Ooty.
